|MBNA Fraud Alerts text messages will contain specific information to help you identify the transaction, including:
- Last two digits of your MBNA Credit Card or of your Authorized User's Card; and transaction information, including the $ amount, transaction type and merchant name.
- MBNA will never ask you to reply to a Fraud Alert text message with any personal information or click on any links in your reply.
|MBNA Fraud Alerts also use automated voice calls that will prompt you to select certain numbers (ex: 1 or 2) to validate recent activity in question.
If you receive a voice alert, you will not be asked to provide any personal information; alerts will always contain detailed information regarding the transactions we would like to verify (ex: $ amount, type, and merchant name).
|MBNA Fraud Alert E-mails will not include or ask you to click on any links to confirm activity.
Emails will always include your first and last name, and contain the last 4 digits of your credit card number. The only thing that e-mail alerts will prompt you to do is to contact MBNA Fraud and Security using telephone numbers listed on the MBNA.ca website or the back of your card.
