These FAQs are to provide additional information about the changes. Details of insurance benefits, including terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions are outlined in the Certificate of Insurance in the icons below.

Expand 3. If I submit a claim after my insurance coverage was removed, can I still be eligible for coverage?

Although your card no longer has the insurance coverage, based on the effective date of the removal of the insurance coverages specified in the letter sent to the primary cardholder, you may still be eligible to submit a claim for those lost coverages. If the eligible loss or damage occurred prior to the effective date, you may still be eligible to submit a claim, as described in the Guide to Coverage you received when you opened your Account.

Expand 4. I have Balance Protection insurance on my credit card, will that change?

No, the balance protection insurance on your credit card will not change.  If you're enrolled in one of our optional balance protection insurance products, the coverage will continue to apply to your credit card Account from the initial effective date and all benefits, exclusions and limitations will remain unchanged. No action is required and any open or new claim will continue to be processed as per the Certificate of Insurance.

If you decide to close the Account, the optional balance protection insurance will continue to be active until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
